We celebrate the Class of 2023

It is with much pride that we celebrate the Class of 2023. Their results are a reflection of the excellence of our holistic education that sees each student encouraged, supported and celebrated throughout their five-year journey at Dainfern College High School. The high number of Red Blazers among our top performers this year is a clear indication that we develop well-rounded, balanced students with the skills for life required to unlock their unique personal potential.

The 2023 Grade 12 IEB students achieved a stellar 98,4% bachelor degree pass, meaning that 60 out of 61 students have qualified for university entrance. Our 2023 Dux Scholar, Head Girl Erin Ryan, produced some of Dainfern College’s best ever individual results, attaining an incredible 10 distinctions. This outstanding achievement placed Erin in the Top 5% of the IEB in 6 or more subjects, and in the Top 1% for 5 of her individual subjects. Juliet Pretorius and Nicole Naudé also produced standout individual achievements, coming in the Top 1% of the IEB for Life Orientation and Afrikaans, respectively.

We pay particular tribute to our staff, who have worked tirelessly to support our students academically and emotionally throughout their time at the College. We thank them for their professionalism and expertise as well as their commitment to each and every student in their care. Whilst the results of our top students are always cause for celebration, our staff always take extra pride in the achievements of those students who have required extra support to fulfil their own personal potential.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the parents of our Matrics. Their guidance and support of their children, and their commitment to working closely with the College are truly appreciated. All of our students showed determination and commitment as they worked towards their final examinations, and we are so proud of them.

We celebrate the Class of 2023 for their excellent achievements in both Cambridge A Levels and the IEB National Senior Certificate and wish them every success as they go out into the world, confident and well prepared for the future.
