This morning the College staff welcomed Mr Musa Kalenga as a guest speaker as we prepare to open for Term 2 tomorrow.

Mr Kalenga spoke to our staff about the importance of the adaptability quotient, which is becoming increasingly more important than IQ and EQ.

Young children learn through experience and therefore play, exploration and experimentation form a fundamental part of their day.

The Grade 0s have a dedicated playground which offers them the opportunity to develop their physical literacy skills - strong core muscles, posture, coordination, motor planning, balance and agility.

The High School music students have been treating their fellow students to some musical performances for the Music department's initiative called Break Time Blues.

Here's a little #ThrowbackThursday to the performances from Valentine's Day earlier this year.

“As dawn ushered in this day, few of us could suppress the welling of emotion, as we were reminded of the terrible past from which we come as a nation; the great possibilities that we now have; and the bright future that beckons us. Wherever South Africans are across the globe, our hearts beat as one, as we renew our common loyalty to our country and our commitment to its future.” - Nelson Mandela on Freedom Day in 1995

Wishing our Dainfern College community a happy Freedom Day.
