Parents’ Association

PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION

Dainfern College Parents’ Association (PA) is run by a dedicated committee of parents who willingly give of their time and energy to organise a wide variety of activities and initiatives whose overall aim is:

  • To unite the school, parents and students for the good of the College.
  • To improve communication and the public image of the College.
  • To raise funds for special capital projects that benefit the College and its students.
  • To raise funds to help support community outreach initiatives.

All parents are encouraged to participate constructively in the life of Dainfern College and the PA is always looking for assistance in the many portfolios in which it is engaged.

Portfolio leaders attend meetings twice a term with the College representatives while volunteer members support these portfolios according to the events that take place over the school year. We share our skills, knowledge and time in order to ensure that the practices of the PA and the needs of the school are linked for the benefit of all students at the College.

Supporters’ cards

MySchool card

With every swipe of your My School Card at affiliated outlets you can easily raise money for our school.

On average we already raise R15 000 through people who swipe their cards each month. There is no cost to you and the card is free. This amount can easily be increased with greater awareness of affiliated outlets:

NB: If you already have a card please check that the beneficiary is Dainfern College.

To find out how to obtain your card or for any further information, please contact Anita van den Steen.

Makro card – Makro Riversands

A brand new Makro store has opened in Riversands. Again, with every swipe of your Makro Card you can easily raise money for our school. Monies raised go to the PA and support the Dainfern College Staff Christmas Hampers and the Outreach programme.

If you already have a Makro Card and wish to have the card beneficiary updated, please contact Anita van den Steen.
