Soccer
A perennial favourite with boys of all ages, Soccer is always embraced with enthusiasm and talent from our Under 9s through to our Matrics. In the High School we also offer Girls’ Soccer.
Our Soccer teams continually try their best and prove that hard work and dedication can lead to great things.
PREP SCHOOL SOCCER
Grade 1 and 2 boys participate in mini soccer twice a week which is efficiently run by the Dainfern SuperSport Soccer School.
Our Under 9s and Under 10s play seven-a-side soccer and we have four teams in each age group. This is to ensure that the boys get as many touches on the ball as possible.
U11, U12 and Opens play traditional 11-a-side soccer with each age group having an A and B team.
One of the annual highlights for our soccer players is the annual Grayston Festival in which the U12 and U13 A-teams take part. The Open Redhill Indoor six-a-side tournament is another draw card.
Schools we play in the weekday league include Crawford Lonehill, Crawford Sandton, Bryandale, Bryanston, Montrose, Buccleuch Primary, Kind David Sandton, Redhill and Grayston.
The coaching team put in a tremendous amount of effort in trying to improve the players’ skills.

HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER
Both boys’ and girls’ Soccer is offered in the High School and both have a junior and a 1st XI side. Each year we host our own Junior Soccer Festival as a pre-season warm-up while our senior sides participate in the annual St Peter’s Soccer Festival.
In addition to the keenly contested interHouse matches, our teams play against other schools in friendly fixtures throughout the short but high-energy season in Term 3. External coaches are employed to coach and train our teams.
