Netball

NETBALL

This popular sport starts in Grade 3 and culminates in the competitive Open age group in High School. Girls compete in interHouse and inter-schools events throughout the Winter season. Our campus boasts 11 Netball courts and we have a dedicated and experienced team of coaches.

PREP SCHOOL NETBALL

Netball is a component of the Integrated Day offering for all Grade 1 and Grade 2 girls during the autumn / winter months. In Grade 3 the girls play rotational netball at Friday afternoon festivals which are non-competitive. This assists in teaching the girls the various positions.

From Grade 4 to Grade 7 we play competitive netball and enter a minimum of three teams per age group. We play against schools such as Grayston, Redhill, Jan Cilliers, Beaulieu and HeronBridge, to name a few.

The Grayston Festival which is enjoyed by players, staff and coaches is one of our season highlights. Our Under 11 and Under 13 A-Team girls get to enjoy the renowned Montrose Night Festival which runs for about seven weeks from the end of January to mid-March each year.

We are privileged to have a dedicated and competent team of coaches to train our girls

HIGH SCHOOL NETBALL

Netball is well established in the High School and there are generally two teams per age group for Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 as well as a 1st and a 2nd team. All the teams play in the inter-schools league and winter Derby days.

The 1st team competes in the Treverton Sports Festival and the Saheti ‘Sevens’ Pre-season festival each year. Our 1st team has finished in the top three of their league for the past two years.
