Huawei donates to the Dainfern College Foundation

Dainfern College was honoured to have Huawei representative Mr Vito Chen visit their campus on Thursday 20 May to hand over donations to their High School bursary programme.

Dainfern College offers a limited number of High School bursaries each year to talented students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds who show talent and/or potential in the academic, sporting, leadership or cultural spheres. The students are funded by Dainfern College in partnership with the Dainfern College Foundation which covers their tuition, textbooks, school uniforms, devices, food and other sundry items like camps and Matric Dance.

This year the Dainfern College Foundation approached Huawei for additional support of the bursary programme and we were honoured to have Huawei come on board to contribute towards our High School bursary programme. Huawei’s donation includes laptops, data, mobile phones and funds for the students’ nutritional needs while they are on campus. High School students Lawrence Sitole and Amogelang Sambo and College Principal Mr Matthew Davies accepted the donations on behalf of the Dainfern College Foundation.

Our most grateful thanks to Huawei for their incredibly generous donation to our Bursary programme – these essential communication tools will make a significant difference in the lives of these students.
