We don't often stop to think of the College Shop as a way for parents to teach their children responsibility. It is also a way to preserve economic value and look after the environment. If you want to know how, read on!
The shop really does serve the purpose of helping parents teach children responsibility. How? By encouraging their children to replace lost items of clothing from the College Shop.
Secondly, sometimes students stay in the school for only a short while. When leaving, instead of throwing away brand new clothes, parents can bring them to the College Shop and preserve economic value.
Lastly, it makes environmental sense to 'recycle' if one considers all the resources that go into manufacturing clothes.
The clothing at the College Shop is sold on a consignment basis: when an item is sold the money goes to the parent unless the parent elects to donate the sale proceeds to the school.
So please come and support our Shop! We really need some more moms to volunteer to help us, so that we can open the shop at more convenient times. Please contact Lerato Moripe at Main Reception in this regard: 011-469-0635.
