NETCARE 911 – SCHOOL COVER

This membership is designed for schools, nursery schools, and colleges. Scholars, teachers and school employees have access to emergency medical advice, response and transportation whilst at school, travelling to and from school and whilst engaged on official school trips within RSA.

NETCARE 911 – School Cover benefits:

• Cover whilst at school or on school trips.
• Emergency medical response and transportation to the closest appropriate medical facility.
• Access to emergency medical advice using the Netcare 911 Health-on-Line service.
• Access to Rape Crisis Centres of Excellence.
• Assistance in setting up Standard Operating Procedures for medical emergencies.
• Arrange participation for all rugby-playing schools in the Spine Line concept sponsored by SARFU:
  • Access to the toll–free Spine Line (0800678 678);
  • Field-side telephonic First Aid advice;
  • Emergency medical response, on-scene stabilisation and evacuation of players with acute head, neck and spine injuries to an appropriate facility;
  • Training of referees, coaches, linesmen, school teachers and other rugby affiliates at national, provincial, club and school level as "rugby medics", via the Netcare 911 School of Emergency and Critical Care; and
  • Event management and stand-by services at high level games, including advanced life support ambulances and trained personnel on a fee-paying basis.
