Dainfern College

This year the Dainfern College Founders’ Day celebrations take place on Friday 16 September. The day starts with the formal Founders’ Day ceremony at 08h30 on the Main Oval and the day’s festivities include the Grade 3 Market Day and JP and SP parents/children netball and soccer matches. The High School InterHouse Athletics (track events) takes place from 10h00 to about 13h30 and this year includes an Alumni Race at 13h00.

The highlight of the day is the annual Family Picnic from 16h00 – come and relax on the lawns to the sounds of professional band Lemon & Limelight and enjoy a picnic basket of goodies from the PA (pre-order only) or bring your own. Arts & Crafts, jumping castles and soccer matches will entertain the children; there will be food and PA supporters’ gear on sale from the PA; and the tuckshop will be open. It promises to be a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy being part of the Dainfern College family.

Prep School Soccer and Netball details

Soccer (fathers and sons)

Grade 1s and 2s to report to the Junior field (below the Grade 0 block) at 10h30. These matches will be completed by 11h15.

Grade 3s to report to the Junior field (below the Grade 0 block) at 11h15 (after the Grade 3 Market Day). These matches will be completed by 12h00.

Grade 4s and 5s to report to the bottom field (below the netball courts) at 10h30. These matches will be completed at approximately 12h00.

Grade 6s and 7s to report to the hockey fields at 10h30. These matches will be completed by approximately 12h00.

Dress: All children to wear PE kit, shin guards and boots. Bibs will be provided.

Netball (mothers and daughters)

Grade 1s and 2s to report to the netball courts (below Grade 0 block) at 10h30. These matches will be completed by 11h15.

Grade 3s to report to netball courts (below the Grade 0 block) at 11h15 (after the Grade 3 Market Day). These matches will be completed at 12h00.

Grade 4s, 5s, 6s and 7s to report to netball courts (below the Cricket Academy) at 10h30. These matches will be completed at approximately 12h00.

Dress: All children to wear PE kit and takkies. Bibs will be provided.
