Claire Lecuona on Netball Camp 2011
This year we went to Netball Camp at Camp Raloka. On the first day on our bus drive we listened to music and laughed. On Friday 14 March 2011 we did court skills, attacking skills and team building. Afterwards, we did an evening programme and then went to bed at 10 pm! On Saturday 12 March we did many fun things! We did team building, defence skills, tuck shop, pool games, court balancing and defence, practising games and for the last evening programme we did a little concert. The theme was “I wish I was…”. That was so much fun! The next day we had breakfast and tuck shop and we went home!
Amy Carruthers on Netball Camp 2011
This year for Netball Camp we went to Raloka Ranch. We did many activities; most of the activities were involved with netball, of course. We got to the camp and unpacked our things and went to the swimming pool. We got put into groups and Dainfern got put into Group B with Curro, a school none of us knew but it had a uniform just like HeronBridge. We carried on doing netball and then went for dinner. After that we did court work and ice-breakers, then we went to bed. The next day consisted of Netball, an obstacle course, crawling through mud, water activities and a wonderful relaxing swim in the pool. We then did an activity called ‘I wanna be...’ - there were prizes for Best All Round Act, Best Acting and Best Dress. Dainfern’s Grade 7s won the Best All Round Act. I’m sure all the girls will agree with me that Raloka Ranch was amazing!
Thank you to all the teachers for a wonderful Camp!
