Mvelo: Happy Birthday Nelson Mandela! Madiba has done so much good for our country and is a great leader.

Gabriella: We celebrated Madiba’s birthday by doing good deeds like making sandwiches and chopping up vegetables to make soup for the poor.

Andile: Nelson Mandela is an icon and a generous man who made our country a better place.

Alexia: Nelson Mandela is so kind and generous. I wish him the best day ever on his birthday.

Kate: I enjoyed making the number 94 and 67 on Mandela’s birthday. We celebrated in class by designing our own Madiba shirts.

Gaby: Mandela Day was so much fun. We decorated Madiba shirts and put them up all over the class.

Megan: I thought of Nelson Mandela the whole day on his birthday. He was such a great leader and I wish I could get the chance to meet him one day.

Alexander: I enjoyed learning interesting facts about Nelson Mandela and enjoyed watching the video of all South Africans singing Happy Birthday to him.

Rorisang: Our country would not be the same without Nelson Mandela. I wish him a very special birthday.

Giulietta: Madiba is a very special man and I wish him a very happy day.

Kirsten: I enjoyed Madiba Day because we made Madiba shirts and I also loved it when we sang Happy Birthday to him.

Victoria: I hope that Madiba had the most wonderful birthday of his life. May he have many, many more.
