At the JP Assembly last week Mr Webb discussed what powers a remote and a remote control car. The children were spot on when they all said batteries. He then went on to talk about recharging batteries so that the car and remote continue to work. He compared ourselves to the car and how we too need to recharge our own batteries by getting a good night's sleep. Mr Webb challenged the children to go to bed before 8 o’clock, without mom and dad nagging them, so they can recharge their batteries and be raring to go the next day.
Mr Webb then went on to explain how important it is to look after our toys, by cleaning them, keeping them in a safe place etc… And that like toys, we too need to look after ourselves every single day without being told. He challenged the children to put on sunblock, wear their hats, brush their teeth, so that they are taking care of themselves, because unlike old toys, we cannot trade our bodies in for a newer model. The challenge is on JPs... love your bodies and get some sleep!
