The Grade 1s had fun outing to Croc City learning all about crocodiles and reptiles. Here is what they had to say about their outing:
On Thursday we went to Croc City. I liked it when I sat on the bus with Katrina and Kate. When we got there we watched Episode 1 - How to Catch a Crocodile and we held a baby crocodile. I learnt that when a crocodile takes a breath it can stay under the water for three hours. I liked it when the snake was slithering around me. - Caitlin McCall Grade 1R
On Thursday we went to Croc City. I went on a bus. Sean was behind me. I touched a baby crocodile, it was cute. The best thing was everything. It was so much fun! I learnt that when a crocodile loses a tooth it grows back. I saw a huge crocodile and it went Snap! Snap! Snap! I was scared of nothing! - Bernard Buys Grade 1R
On Thursday we went to Croc City. I liked it when Skyla, Dylan and Connor sat with me at the back of the bus. I learnt that crocodiles have 66 teeth. When their teeth come out they grow more. I touched a crocodile skull. I saw one crocodile bleeding because it was in a fight. It was fun when Skyla and I played with Ndumiso, Nandi and Nicola. The best thing was when Skyla and I held a snake. - Anda Ratsibe Grade 1R
