The teaching and learning experiences in the High School are uniquely framed by a commitment to knowing, enjoying and enriching each student. This is achieved within the demanding all-rounder environment that we have created. Underpinned by our core values and Christian foundation, the High School has a strong track record of academic excellence and a committed philosophy in the classroom of ‘no child left behind!’ We are justifiably proud of our 100% pass rate since our start; not because we teach the academic cream, but because we have a dedicated teaching team that ensures that every student is academically supported, challenged and empowered to succeed. In addition, our remarkable counselling and academic support department provide the focussed support and guidance needed to help those students who may struggle from time to time.

Our key ingredient in this process is our commitment to pastoral care. We have intentionally created, and are determined to ensure, a school environment which enables each student to be engaged, productive, inspired and recognised. This is primarily expressed through our developed House system. Furthermore, our teachers see themselves as pastoral carers in the classroom, on the sport field, on the stage and in the corridors of our beautiful school. They understand the privilege, and daily celebrate the opportunity, to shape, mould and lead the children in their care towards self-competence, achievement and positive adulthood.

Our commitment to all-rounded education is expressed through our steadfast vision of the development of the whole child. Alongside our academic rigour, we have a full array of sporting, cultural, service and leadership opportunities in which our students are expected to engage. In addition, all High School students are expected to be actively engaged in the many outreach opportunities that are facilitated by the College.

Overall, our High School environment is happy and challenging, and staff and students alike are motivated to enjoy learning, to respect one another and to love life! Our mission is to develop the academic resilience, personal competencies and all-rounded skills required to prepare young adults for leadership and service in a constantly changing and diverse South African and global society.
