Grade 8 Camp is a once in a lifetime experience for learners. The Grade 8s and Grade 12 leaders embarked on a journey to YFC camp to explore team building, obstacles, challenges and fun. Starting out with some ice breakers, the Grade 8s quickly learnt more about one another and their leaders. We then moved onto some presentations aimed at acquainting the Grade 8s with high school. After loads of games and swimming it was time for stalk-the-lantern.
Day 2 was focused on the challenge of the obstacle course and the hunt for supper that ended in a potjiekos competition. And finally, the last day: time for the zipline - hordes of screaming children travelling faster than a speeding bullet, hanging by thread. It was, in a word, awesome!
