Look at what the Grade 0s went a-catching on Friday! We spent the morning on our tummies, scooping our tubs in the water in the hope that we might catch a few tadpoles - and how lucky we were...
Friday was met with much excitement and plenty of anticipation by the girls and boys in Grade 0 when we went on our annual walk to the Dainfern Ridge Dam, in search of tadpoles. The children all brought along a container to help them scoop up a few tadpoles up from the shallow water. It was an incredibley successful morning, with everyone having caught at least one or two tadpoles in their containers. In the interests of the environment, we released most of the tadpoles back into the dam and only kept a few for investigation in the classroom.
