Dainfern College

The Dainfern College Foundation was launched to staff, pupils and parents at various celebrations over the past week. The Celebration Campaign – the name given to the strategic funding initiative to establish the Foundation – kicked off after half-term when every pupil and member of staff was given a Foundation t-shirt. The whole school came to school wearing the t-shirt and jeans the following day and a wonderful ‘whole school’ photo was taken - a truly momentous occasion!

Assemblies were held to explain the Foundation to the pupils across the school and the Foundation was then launched to parents at two cocktail parties, held on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 March. After sundowners and snacks we moved to the Auditorium where Barry Mocke (Chairman of the Foundation) and Stuart West (College Principal) presented our vision for securing the future of the College.

We were delighted with the extremely positive response we received from over 400 parents who attended the launch and our Campaign got off to an excellent start with pledges of over R100 000! What a wonderful start to this vital initiative and building of new partnerships. Thank you to our incredible parents for your support and generosity – it is hugely appreciated.
